PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On December 8th, TargetX and Campus Philly will host "iThink" an open forum about student success that kicks off the Campus Philly Annual Meeting—as well as an exciting collaboration and TargetX's most recent corporate philanthropy project.
Participants in the "iThink" event include Eric Kaplan, Senior Fellow and Director at University of Pennsylvania, Kim Allen-Stuck, Assistant Vice President of Student Success & Educational Support at Saint Joseph's University and Chris Ferguson, Vice President and Dean of Admissions at Drexel University. The conversation will focus on student retention and student success in the Philadelphia region.
The partnership between TargetX, a trusted leader in CRM solutions for over 150 colleges and universities across the country, and Campus Philly, a nonprofit organization working to increase the number of college-educated students in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state region, employs TargetX's powerful CRM solution to better support students from 33 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia region.
"Our partnership with TargetX is going to be transformational for how Campus Philly does its work to fuel economic growth in the region by encouraging students to study, explore, live and work in Greater Philadelphia," says Deborah Diamond, President of Campus Philly. "As our next-door neighbor and the leading technology solutions provider in the field of higher education, TargetX offers Campus Philly a way to make our communications to students more personal, strategic and appropriate to each stage in their college career."
TargetX will also equip Campus Philly with important tools to help the organization reach out to all of their constituents and partners, and most importantly, connect students to the resources they need to succeed. The initiative stems from TargetX's Power of X corporate philanthropy program.
"We launched the Power of X over 10 years ago because it's what we all should be doing - giving back," says Founder of TargetX, Brian Wm. Niles. "And, this year, we are excited as the Power of X program works with Campus Philly, a nonprofit organization that is doing extraordinary work to keep students engaged and connected to important resources in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state region."
"TargetX's service is going to improve how we connect students to our programs, to regional opportunities and to each other," continues Diamond. "We applaud the Power of X, a corporate philanthropy program that gives so much back to their community, and which will directly help our students gain more access to important resources, including job placement initiatives and other student-support programs."
