Root Inc. Adds Key Talent to Senior Consulting Team

SYLVANIA, OH--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2014) - Root^® Inc., the strategy execution company, today announced Nate Butki and Kurt Cumming have joined the company as Managing Directors. Both offer decades of business experience in providing strategic guidance to global organizations, leading workplace culture transformations, and driving organizational optimization.

Butki comes from the Great Places to Work^® Institute, producers of Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For list, where he spent four years playing a critical role on the executive leadership team. As head of Client Advisory Services, Butki supported a team responsible for delivering world-class workplace culture consulting to more than 225 clients. During his tenure, he helped secure the organization's largest global client and supported three clients that achieved recognition as World's Best Multinational Workplaces.

Prior to this, Butki worked for more than a decade in the automotive financial services industry, where he initiated and implemented a holistic approach to talent management across various human resource functions and led regional and global implementation of workplace culture assessment and improvement. He has a B.A. and M.A. in Telecommunication from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University.

Cumming brings 20-plus years of success in leadership and consulting with a focus on the telecom, high-tech, and education industries. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Global Village Concerns, an innovative startup helping K-12 schools unlock the power of their brands to benefit their school, students, and community.

Prior to this, he was Vice President for Business Development and Global Sales Engineering with Verisign, and in leadership and delivery roles at inCode Wireless and Deloitte Consulting. His accolades include winning San Diego Magazine's Top Tech Exec Award in 2013 for the Small, Private category and receiving a Bronze Star for service to the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm. Cumming has a B.S. in Engineering from Lafayette College and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
