New York, Jan. 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NEW YORK (January, 2015) - Misahara (www.misahara.com) is delighted to announce the opening of its first U.S. boutique at the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York City. The 440 square feet boutique opened in December 2014 at The Shops at The Plaza Hotel. The new store follows Misahara's successful 2014 launch of its flagship store in global luxury hub, Porto Montenegro.

The boutique will embody Misahara's upscale, avant-garde timeless aesthetic. The luxuriously handcrafted jewelry line is influenced by designer Lepa Galeb-Roskopp's Slavic roots and multicultural lifestyle. Each Misahara design is a translation of Roskopp's experiences, drawing influence from the beauty of nature's elements such as the Adriatic Sea as well as the street style fashion seen in New York, Paris, South Africa, Montenegro, Dubai, St. Tropez and other luxury capitals of the world.

All Misahara jewelry is handmade in New York by experienced jewelers who have worked with some of the world's most prestigious jewelry houses. Misahara evokes a feeling of exquisite luxury, channeling an upscale, bohemian flare marked by unique handcraftsmanship and the finest quality diamonds, precious and semi-precious as well as precious metals.

Shades of green are a focal color of the fall collection, ranging from leafy moss to sea grass hues. Key styles for fall include the Plima SaharA necklace, featuring green tourmaline hues; the Fennelle ring, a literal interpretation of nature's leaf with green and white diamonds set against a yellow gold setting; and the Leotar ring, which boasts varying shades of green diamonds, emeralds and tsavorites set in 18-karat yellow gold. The boutique introduces new products from the brand, including a men's cufflink collection made up of six styles: F-1, Adriatic, Sahara, Crown and Red Star cufflinks. Misahara has celebrated the boutique's opening with a cocktail reception on December 3rd, 2014.
