ALBANY, NY, N.Y., Jan. 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CDPHP® employees marked the end of another successful Charity of Choice campaign by donating $44,530 to the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York, surpassing their original goal of $35,000.
The money raised will go toward numerous local Red Cross programs and services in our communities, including emergency preparedness education and disaster assistance. The yearlong effort gave CDPHP employees a chance to participate in dozens of fundraisers (like bake sales, bowling nights, and plant sales) for the Red Cross and take part in volunteer and training opportunities, such as blood drives and hands-only CPR classes.

The organization is a vital part of our community, providing comfort, assistance, and education to thousands of people in our region. For the 2015 Charity of Choice campaign, CDPHP has selected Northern Rivers Family Services, which is the umbrella organization for Northeast Parent & Child Society and Parsons Child and Family Center, two of the largest and oldest family service agencies in New York's Capital Region. The charity's focus is protecting children, preserving families, and strengthening communities.
