The image sensor and processor combine to avail sensitivity to ISO 25600 for working in a wide variety of lighting conditions, and also offer enhanced speed for recording up to 5.8 fps with autofocus, or up to 40 fps with an electronic shutter function. A high-speed Contrast AF system maintains critical focus on moving subjects, and focusing sensitivity down to -4 EV benefits shooting in low-light situations. In addition to still shooting, full HD 1080p/60 movie recording is also supported, as well as a user-selectable interval shooting function for producing in-camera time-lapse movies.
Complemented by the imaging assets, the Panasonic DMC-GF7 features a breadth of features designed specifically for shooting selfies. The 3.0" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD tilts 180° forward for easier front-facing compositions and, when the screen is up, both right-handed and left-handed shutter release buttons are available. Alternatively, you can also simply wave to release the shutter or bring you and your friends' faces in close to automatically take a photo. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to pair a smartphone or tablet with the GF7, too, for seamless image transferring and remote control over the shutter, zoom, and focusing controls. Additionally, when your mobile device is connected, the Jump Snap function can be used to capture photos of you jumping, and automatically releases the shutter while you're in midair, at the highest point of your jump.
The Lumix DMC-GF7 is available in Pink or Black and comes in a kit with the standard zoom Lumix G VARIO 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. lens.
