PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Feb 5, 2015) - The Arizona Lottery announces that a $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket was sold in Tucson for the drawing on Wednesday, Feb. 4. This is the second $1 million dollar winning ticket sold on Ina Road in Tucson in the past month and the 34th $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona.
The winning ticket was sold at a QuikTrip located at 3390 W. Ina Rd. in Tucson, only .4 miles from the Fry's where the last winning ticket was sold. The winning numbers were 24-36-51-52-56, PB 22. The winning ticket matched five out of five numbers drawn, not including the Powerball. Players can check their tickets by visiting ArizonaLottery.com.
"We are so excited that another Arizona player has won a $1 million Powerball second prize," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We're eagerly awaiting the next draw to see if an Arizonan wins the $360 million jackpot."
The next Powerball draw takes place Saturday, Feb. 7. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.
Powerball offers many appealing features to players. The starting jackpot is $40 million, and the second prize for matching all five numbers, without the Powerball, is $1 million. Even if players don't win the big jackpot, there are eight other ways to win.
Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game.
