DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 6, 2015) - Danyel Surrency Jones and Darnell Jones are co-founders of a recently launched company called Powerhandz Inc., powerhandz.com, which produces performance-enhancing training products for athletes.

The Powerhandz products help athletes improve performance in basketball, football, baseball and golf. The product line includes weighted anti-grip gloves, weighted pure-grip gloves, weighted extreme-grip gloves and slick wraps for basketballs and footballs. Each product strengthens hand and arm muscles, and increases dexterity.
Darnell Jones is a former professional basketball player who began practicing his ball-handling skills with gardening gloves. His training with the gloves paid off, and after his career he refined the product. Today, professionals in America's favorite sports are using the gloves.
"PowerHandz was developed based on the need for increased skill development; it's a product based on already proven concepts, like weight training," says Jones, who previously invented a successful product called Tukz, underwear that helps keep shirts tucked in.
"The weighted gloves, which are weighted at about one pound per hand, add hand strength and the slippery glove style makes it harder for you to do things. The gloves handicap the athlete so when they take them off and return to normal conditions, they are performing better."
Danyel and Darnell Jones believe that dedicating one's lifestyle to improvement in sports fosters positive habits. That's why they created the Power To Give program, which promotes the positive development of youth in their community and others.
