BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwired - Feb 23, 2015) -
WHAT:
The NBASE-T Alliance, an industry-wide cooperative effort to promote the development of 2.5 and 5 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) over twisted pair copper cabling (2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T), will exhibit at the upcoming Linley Data Center Conference. Alliance representatives will discuss how the technology enables organizations to boost the performance of their existing wired infrastructure by as much as 5x without having to replace a single cable.
The conference is a two-day event focused on processors, components and interconnects for datacenter networking and servers. Exhibits take place during a reception held on the first day.
WHO:
Peter Jones, chairman of the NBASE-T Alliance, and Kamal Dalmia, president of the NBASE-T Alliance, will be available to answer questions on the technology, specification and membership in the alliance.

ABOUT:
The NBASE-T Alliance is a consortium focused on developing and deploying products that support NBASE-T technology and the NBASE-T specifications. The specifications define 2.5 and 5 Gigabit per second (Gbps) speeds at up to 100 meters using the large, installed base of copper cabling found in enterprise networks. More than 20 companies have joined the alliance, representing all major facets of enterprise networking infrastructure such as access points, Ethernet switching, and computing, as well as the necessary semiconductor components required to deliver these applications including physical layer ICs (PHYs), processors, connectors, controllers, switches, FPGAs and Power-over-Ethernet ICs. The alliance was founded in 2014 by Aquantia, Cisco, Freescale and Xilinx. Companies are invited to join by visiting www.nbaset.org.
