PHOENIX, Feb. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) recognized Vicki D. Nichols, energy efficiency program manager at Georgia Power, with the B.H. Prasad Award at its 25th National Conference and Expo, which was held February 9 – 12, 2015 in Orlando, FL. The B. H. Prasad award is named for a former chair of AESP and recognizes a member's outstanding contribution to AESP.
"Vicki received this prestigious industry award for her exceptional volunteer work for AESP. Her contributions to AESP are immeasurable. She has served on the board for over five years in officer positions on the Executive Committee, numerous board committees, National Conference Program Planning committee, and is currently serving in an officer position as Vice Chair of Strategic Initiatives, which is critical to the growth of AESP. Her insights and advice are impactful; she has been a leading advocate for our members; and she works tirelessly to promote AESP and the energy efficiency industry," said Suzanne Jones, AESP vice president, marketing.
In his award presentation at the ceremony, AESP chair-elect Michael Volker said of Nichols, "Vicki exhibits leadership in our industry and in the organization. If you want to get something done, give it to someone that is busy. From topic committees to strategic initiatives, from moderating sessions to presenting, and from advice on finances to marketing, with Vicki's guidance, and encouragement, I don't think there is a person in AESP whose advice is more routinely sought."
"AESP is a great organization and growing with highly-motivated industry members. It is an honor to be involved and to be recognized in this way," said Nichols.
