Hospitality Leader Karambir Singh Kang to Keynote AAHOA Convention

ATLANTA, March 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) today announced that hotel executive Karambir Singh Kang will be a keynote speaker at the 2015 AAHOA Convention and Trade Show.

Prior to Kang's current position as the general manager of Taj Boston, he served as general manager of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai when the hotel was attacked by terrorists in November 2008. During the deadly three day siege he worked heroically to save hotel guests, even after he lost his wife and two sons, who lived on the sixth floor of the hotel, in the fire set by the terrorists.

"Mr. Kang continues to be an example of hospitality and leadership across the globe," said AAHOA Chairman Pratik Patel. "We are honored to host him as a keynote speaker during our 2015 convention and know he will inspire everyone in attendance."

A true hero and a respected leader, Kang has devoted more than 20 years to Taj hotels, serving as general manager, director of sales and director of sales and marketing. He has been featured in major media outlets, from Forbes Magazine to BBC News, for both his bravery and his prominence in the hotel industry.

Registration is underway for the AAHOA Annual Convention, which will be hosted at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., April 22 through April 25, 2015. The four day event will showcase nationally known guest speakers, educational workshops featuring industry leaders and more than 400 hospitality related exhibitors offering the very latest products and services for the hospitality industry.
