Jefferson Bus Lines Relocates Billings, MT Depot

BILLINGS, MT--(Marketwired - March 12, 2015) - Jefferson Bus Lines announced today that in order to better serve the needs of their customers and operations they have purchased a new bus facility in Billings, MT. The new building is located in downtown Billings at 1830 4^th Avenue North and includes a 13,482 sq. ft. building on over 2.5 acres. "This building will prove to be a huge upgrade and allow us to combine all agency functions such as ticketing and baggage along with operational functions like bus maintenance and storage. These combined improvements will result in a better customer experience," said Steve Woelfel, CEO of Jefferson Lines. Renovations are currently underway and Jefferson Lines hopes to begin operating out of the new location by late spring.

Jefferson Lines extended service to Montana nearly two years ago after a local interline carrier was ordered to immediately cease operations. "We accepted the request of fellow intercity carriers and the State of Montana to restore bus service because we strongly believe in the importance of ensuring the continuance of east-west connections, as well as providing Montana with strong intercity bus service," said Kevin Pursey, Director of Marketing for Jefferson Lines. Since restoring service to Montana, Jefferson Lines has served nearly 300,000 customers and created a healthy business environment conducive to job creation that has generated over 30 employment opportunities for drivers and agents.

The new Billings, MT bus depot will continue to provide all the same services of daily bus schedules, ticket sales, and package express. The building will be ADA accessible as is with all Jefferson Lines buses and facilities.
