Artifact App Offers Lexile Measures as Part of Book Search Criteria

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2015) - Unbound Concepts, creator of Artifact, and MetaMetrics®, developer of The Lexile® Framework for Reading, today announce their partnership. Artifact, a free web- and mobile-based book search application for educators, will now provide Lexile® text measures for more than 150,000 titles in its platform. The Lexile Framework is the most widely used reading metric for evaluating text complexity, and it is now available on Artifact. Students can search books by Lexile measures to find leveled books that match their unique abilities.

Artifact improves the way that readers search, discover and reflect on books. Artifact enlists readers, educators, publishers and machine learning to uncover the unique attributes of books and then turns those attributes into searchable criteria.
