FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Silver Airways has appointed 15-year finance veteran Jason Bewley as Chief Financial Officer to direct and oversee all aspects of the airline's financial activities.

Bewley brings a wealth of domestic and international experience in finance to Silver Airways, having specialized in aviation and transportation finance, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, business development, capital planning and treasury, accounting, insurance and derivatives, and investor relations.
Bewley most recently served as the CFO for All Aboard Florida where among other accomplishments he was instrumental in successfully raising over $400 million to finance the initial development of the country's first private high-speed rail line. Previous leadership roles include serving as Vice President of Finance for World Fuel Services, a Fortune 100 company (NYSE:INT), where he oversaw corporate financial planning and analysis, investor relations, strategic business development, and acquisitions. Bewley also served in executive roles at AirTran Airways that included leading the airline in corporate finance, strategic planning, fuel hedging, and investor relations.
Bewley holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM), and is also a graduate of Leadership Orlando.
