CLEARWATER, Fla., April 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that it has promoted Marc McClure to vice president of Field Sales, Eastern U.S. and Vince Stemen to vice president of Field Sales, West/Central U.S. In these roles, McClure and Stemen will be responsible for the strategic direction and operation of the company's field-based sales teams in their respective regions. Both will report to Marty Bauerlein, senior vice president, U.S. Sales.

McClure joined Tech Data as director of Field Sales for the Eastern U.S. in July 2011. In this role, he led the company's field-based selling resources and assisted with the development of strategic initiatives and organizational planning for Tech Data's Value-Added Reseller (VAR) Sales organization. Prior to joining Tech Data, McClure spent 15 years in sales and executive positions within the IT channel. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
Stemen most recently served as director of Field Sales, West and Central U.S. for Tech Data. In this role, he led an experienced team of field-based channel sales professionals providing value-added services and support for some of the nation's leading IT resellers. Stemen joined Tech Data as director of West Field Sales in 2008, quickly taking on responsibility for the Central Field Sales organization and managing VAR partners. He has more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and management experience within the IT channel. Stemen holds a B.A. in Political Science with a specialization in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
