OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 10, 2015) - Eagle Professional Resources Inc. (Eagle), one of the country's most successful professional staffing agencies, is pleased to announce that the company is being recognized as one of this year's Best Workplaces in Canada. This list and related stories appear in a special national report in today's edition of The Globe and Mail.
Guided by its core values of Team, Innovation, Integrity and Excellence, Eagle's positive, energetic corporate culture is well-known throughout the staffing industry. The professional staffing company's team-based environment is enhanced through initiatives such as staff social events, an internal blog to publicly recognize co-workers, and a monthly award program that recognizes team-oriented individuals that uphold the company's core values. In addition, Eagle regularly introduces new and innovative programs to preserve a sought after workplace and attract top talent. One small example is all employees enjoy breakfast each morning through the company's breakfast-at-work program; a valuable employee benefit is an in-depth on boarding training program involving management from all levels and giving new employees a 360 degree view the entire company in their first weeks of employment with Eagle; there is the very popular WORKshift program, an initiative that encourages work/life fusion by allowing staff to enjoy flexible work arrangements; and a final mention is the Summer Hours Program, which is a definite company favourite.
"We have always worked very hard to create a very deliberate, team-based culture here at Eagle, which we believe attracts great people," said Kevin Dee, Eagle's CEO. "We are extremely excited to get this award because it tells the world that we have something special here, and it is external recognition that Eagle really is a great place to work!"
This list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about the organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work®: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
This year's list received over 300 nominations and over 60,000 employees participated in the 2015 "Best Workplaces in Canada" survey.
