CHICAGO, April 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ravinia will put tickets to more than 100 summer concerts on sale to the general public at 5 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28. As a not for-profit, Ravinia gives its financial supporters the first opportunity to purchase tickets, and all Pavilion and lawn tickets for both highly anticipated concerts by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga (June 26 and 27) have completely sold out to donors. Tickets will be sold exclusively at Ravinia.org, and traffic at the site is expected to be heaviest between 5 and 10 a.m.
Typically, Ravinia will sell the equivalent of 10 United Centers in these first few hours of public sales. Ravinia asks that customers queued up to purchase tickets not sign on with multiple devices, as that will slow the process.
Reserved seats for the June 19 Alan Cumming and August 7 Harry Connick Jr. concerts also sold out to donors, and have limited availability for the June 25 Sheryl Crow concert, but lawn tickets will be available on April 28. Customers are advised to check back at Ravinia.org as concert dates approach for an opportunity to purchase any tickets to these popular shows that may have been returned.
Among the concerts expected to sell quickly in the coming days are Little Big Town, Santana, Chicago, 3 Doors Down and Collective Soul, O.A.R., and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing the big moments from Disney's Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 along with the corresponding film sequences.
For security purposes, Ravinia has required that all ticket buyers update their passwords this year, and that can be done in advance.
