Jacksonville pet owners have a new option for emergency veterinary care and regular veterinary appointments on the weekends. Animal Hospital of Onslow County announced that the practice is open on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm in an effort to offer to provide flexible hours for busy pet owners.

"We are proud to be one of the only animal hospitals in Jacksonville, NC to offer extended care hours for both general and emergency pet care," said Jacksonville veterinarian Dr. David H. Altman. "Our expanded hours on Saturday make it easier for pet owners to take their pets in for routine care without having to take time of during a the busy work day to do so. We're sensitive to just how busy everyone's lives can get, and we're committed to offering veterinary care that meets the needs of our pet owners and their pets."

Dr. David Altman, together with veterinarians Dr. Craig Corry and Dr. Kate Ianni, cares for a wide variety of Onslow County pets. In addition to cats and dogs, the practice also treats rabbits, reptiles, rodents, amphibians and pocket pets.

"We're truly one of the only local destinations for all-in-one veterinary care, no matter whether your pet has fur, scales or feathers," said Dr. Corry. "I feel very lucky to work with some of the most experienced veterinarians in the field who are able to offer such a diversity of care. Most veterinary hospitals focus on just dogs and cats or exotic pets; being able to provide such a high level of service is unusual and one of the many things that sets Animal Hospital of Onslow County apart from other practices."

Dr. Kate Ianni said one of the reasons she joined the practice was because of its commitment to offering highly personalized service.

"While the days of a local veterinarian making midnight house calls to a family farm may have come and gone, Onslow County Hospital still carries on this legacy with its commitment to personalized care," said Dr. Ianni. "This is one of the reasons I chose to join this practice. This level of commitment is something you don't see from veterinary hospitals every day."
