COPsync CEO Interviewed on Two Radio Programs

Discusses Advantages of COPsync Network for Law Enforcement Patrol Officers

Dallas, May 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ronald A. Woessner, chief executive officer of COPsync, Inc. (OTCQB: COYN), was interviewed by Popular Science Radio on April 18 and Senior Voice America Radio on April 28. The company's signature COPsync Network connects law enforcement officers and agencies from different jurisdictions to a common communications system. This enables them to communicate between and among themselves as if they were one agency. Also, the company's complementary COPsync911 threat alert system links schools and other facilities under threat directly to local patrol units and local dispatch operators.

In both interviews, Mr. Woessner describes serious gaps in law enforcement's capability to interdict crimes in progress, identify and locate wanted persons and terrorists, and protect themselves from being killed or injured by known criminals. These gaps result from the "information silos" currently the norm among U.S. law enforcement agencies -- and create the result that patrol officers have no meaningful ability to share or communicate in real-time or near real-time with patrol officers and dispatchers from other law enforcement agencies.  This creates opportunities for criminals and terrorists to escape detection by moving from one city or county to another.

Mr. Woessner explains how the hundreds of patrol officers, dispatch centers, and courts currently using the COPsync communications network are able to communicate between and among themselves as if they were one law enforcement agency. This real-time communication and information sharing results in the thwarting of crimes in progress, criminals and terrorists being apprehended and fewer officer deaths and injuries - which means more officers go home safely to their families at end of shift.

Also, as discussed in the Popular Science Radio interview, the Company's COPsync911 threat alert system is designed for schools, courthouses, hospitals, energy plants and other high-risk facilities. The system connects persons under threat to the closest patrol officers, directly in their patrol units, and the local dispatch center.  The system, currently being used by hundreds of schools and other facilities in Texas, Louisiana, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, provides first responders a real-time direct communication link to the persons under threat. This communication link provides responding officers access to maps showing the facility's location, "up to the second" situational insight as to the unfolding violence, facility floor plan diagrams, and a streaming video view originating from the cameras inside the facility. These features serve the purpose of saving minutes in those violent situations, when even seconds count.

About COPsync

COPsync, Inc. (OTCQB: COYN) is a technology company that improves communication across law enforcement jurisdictions and helps public safety officials prevent and respond quickly to crime. The COPsync Network gives officers instant access to actionable, mission-critical data and enables them to collect payment for outstanding misdemeanor warrants in real-time at the point of incident. Officers are also able to obtain instant access to local, state and federal law enforcement databases. The Network's companion COPsync911 system enables courts, schools, hospitals, government buildings, energy, telecommunications and other potentially at-risk facilities to automatically and silently send threat alerts directly to local law enforcement officers in their patrol cars in the event of crisis, thereby protecting schools, school children, employees and others. The COPsync Network also eliminates manual processes and increases officer productivity by enabling officers to electronically write tickets, accident reports, DUI forms, arrest forms and incident and offense reports. The COPsync Network saves lives, reduces unsolved crimes and assists in apprehending criminals and interdicting criminal behavior -- through such features as a nationwide officer safety alert system, GPS/auto vehicle location and distance-based alerts for crimes in progress, such as school crisis situations, child abductions, bank robberies and police pursuits. The company also sells VidTac®, an in-vehicle, software-riven video system for law enforcement. For more information, visit www.copsync.com and www.copsync911.com.
