CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwired - May 26, 2015) - Sauer Energy Inc. ("SEI") (
SEI is achieving its target goals of creating a wind turbine that can produce measurable results that reflect some of the industry best standards of efficiency, power, cost, safety, longevity and looks. Furthermore, the SEI team is preparing to make available a wide array of energy solution products. These will enable SEI to deliver exceptional value and service.
Driving toward an extremely exciting launch, most of the initial attention will deservedly fall on the WindCutter® that will feature the latest state-of-the-art technologies and development.
SEI teams are excited about their achievements to date and their joint efforts have been very successful. This update underscores SEI's commitment to present future markets with product development efforts that integrate long term solutions for the consumer with reliable results.
Main Focus
- Manufacturing -- WindCutter tooling, dies and jig assemblies are complete. Engineering, design and testing prototypes have also been finalized on the initial model. Prototypes of units up to 20 kW are already being developed.
- Certification -- SEI plans to meet IEC 61400 engineering standards with regard to stress analysis certification, load factors, structural, sound, performance, safety, and electrical. Obtaining the CE rating, European certification is also in the plan. These tests take place with various independent third parties.
- Market Share -- The SEI team has been working tirelessly to be able to add custom turbine solutions to specific projects. SEI has received interest from all over the world and looks forward making a difference.
- Growth Strategy -- SEI has outgrown its present headquarters and is in search of a much larger facility that can adequately support inventory, manufacturing and ongoing R&D. The process will be completed within the next ninety (90) days.
Corporate Update -- All Positive Outcomes
WindCharger® -- The closure of the VEC Technology, LLC, ("VEC") plant in Pennsylvania left us unable to produce the blades that were specially designed to work with VEC's proprietary system. This is a temporary situation and SEI is adapting and preparing to move forward.
WindRider® -- Minor engineering is needed to improve manufacturing process. The design and concept has been completed. A custom generator is already under development.
WindCutter -- This VAWT was developed using the Darrieus principal that combines aero foils as blades. With many prototypes built and tested, SEI is moving quickly to showcase the WindCutter. The design development of this turbine has produced results reflecting very high efficiency and is scalable up to 20 kW. The WindCutter will have a triple heavy set bearing support system along with a dual disc brake system for safe shut down, and many more proprietary features. It may set the benchmark and standards for this type of small wind turbines.
Auditor -- SEI selected a new auditor, MartinelliMick, PLLC, located in Spokane, Washington. All filings and disclosures are up to date.
$3M Equity Line -- SEI entered into an Equity Purchase Agreement on February 27, 2015. For more information, see the 8K filing, available on the SEI website.
S-1 Registration -- Registration Statement became effective April 27, 2015.
Four (4) More Patents Issued -- These patents are all domestic. They support SEI's additional innovations and demonstrate its commitment to protecting its cutting edge wind technologies.
Proprietary Generator -- In collaboration with a top generator manufacturer, SEI will be able to offer an exclusively designed generator for the WindCutter. This axial flux permanent magnet design was matched to WindCutter rpms, torque and low speed startup. This generator has enabled the WindCutter to maximize energy capture with maximum effectiveness.
WindCutter turbines, for on-grid and off-grid applications, have been fully tested on various platforms for cohesiveness of design and compatibility of electronics. SEI will be able to scale upward to a 20 kW generator within the same parameters.
Lithium-ion Batteries -- Together with various developers, SEI is further advancing toward its goal to provide the Smart Energy Efficient Solutions (SEES). Manufacturing and OEM vendors are being vetted. Residential market is being organized to begin testing. SEI feels that renewable energy storage is the future for the individual home.
Solar -- SEI is planning to provide a combination of solutions, including solar, to meet various demands. It is considering solar manufacturers and is seeking to have the most powerful, yet cost effective, panels to create hybrid systems when integrated with its turbines.
Atmospheric Water Generation -- Water generation at its best! Clean water is the number one thing, besides air, that we desperately need for survival and far too many places suffer from shortages. These units work in tandem with SEI turbine systems to provide much needed water along with electricity.
Research and Development -- Having an efficient in-house machine shop has made the R&D process proficient. Engineering changes to drawings and prototyping changes all take place under one roof and translate into substantial savings of time and capital. Turbines undergo a battery of live testing that sometimes use the SEI test platform, created specifically for real life testing. Compatibility of electronics is fundamental and SEI makes all efforts to ensure the verification of the final production unit.
SEI is committed to providing solutions that expedite time to market and peak-market penetration, along with advanced expertise across development commercialization of energy producing products. Focused on accelerating the different products and manufacturing, the intention is to enable customers to limit the consumption of on-grid energy usage by providing various supplements such as wind, solar and batteries.
"The news of our current accomplishments is most exciting! As a company, we have spent years in development and design to reach this point. The continued collaboration spirit of our remarkable team is something I honestly admire.
"We have the highest confidence in our WindCutter, scheduled to be released soon. The test results have exceeded our requirements and now we can predicate its release with other products to follow. We intend to have an energy solution collection of products that can respond to the demand.
"I feel we are now at the juncture where we will soon be able to make SEI revenue reporting. Everything is working together. More news to come soon," commented Dieter Sauer, President and CEO, Sauer Energy.
About Sauer Energy Inc.
Sauer Energy Inc. is a technology developer and manufacturer of vertical axis wind turbines focused on the emerging renewable energy market with several patents in place and many more pending. SEI looks forward to early manufacturing and commercialization. It is also aggressively moving toward a financial return on its investments.
SEI's technology is remarkable as it requires so few parts. This means lower manufacturing cost, more efficient operation, lower maintenance (fewer parts = less chance of malfunction), and greater power generation. This will provide SEI with a new direction for wind capture, making it easier to scale from residential, to powering a small community -- all the way up to large industrial facilities. The market opportunity for this new, self-contained, innovative technology is unlimited and growing rapidly.
The initial product we plan to launch will be the WindCutter™ model. Its innovative design and utility make it highly efficient and cost effective to own and operate. The aluminum blades are being manufactured by using the extrusion process. The WindCutter has achieved maximized performance utility with its proprietary, direct drive, axial-flux permanent magnet generator (PMG) that was expressly designed to work in tandem with it.
Plans to offer the helixical WindRider® model, vertical axis wind turbine that employs technology it purchased in 2012, are still being organized. Higher performance design modifications are expected to deliver superior results. The WindRider is also pole-mounted, and can be used for applications that don't require roof mounting.
SEI has also created the WindCharger® brand for a better roof-mounted solution for residential and other small building usage and plans for its launch are ongoing.
Furthermore, there are several other innovations in various stages that SEI intends to put on the launch schedule. We will advise as these products are completed and satisfy our expectations and standards.
