EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 2, 2015) - Everyone wins when two fantastic organizations come together. In this instance it is travelers who will be the biggest winners as they make their way through Toronto Pearson International Airport's Terminal 1. Visitors to Terminal 1 now have two different options to grab their favourite Booster Juice Smoothie.
Once clearing security on the trans-border side, travelers and airport employees will now be able to pick up and enjoy their favourite Booster Juice Smoothie, fresh squeezed juice or food item prior to their flight. The second Booster Juice location in Terminal 1 is pre-security, so travelers waiting for their luggage or people waiting to pick up their loved ones can also enjoy Booster Juice Smoothies and food while they wait. Both locations incorporate a sleek unique look for Booster Juice. A few of the fun features include a digital wall at the Post Security location and a complex oval design at the Pre-security location which includes inspirational messages along the curved bulkhead that was inspired by the strawberry tornado in the logo.
"This is an exciting time for us as we have planned on opening a location within Toronto Pearson International Airport for quite some time now," said Dale S. Wishewan, Booster Juice President & CEO. He added, "I know travelers will be excited based on the positive feedback we receive on our airport locations in Edmonton, Ottawa and Halifax. With Toronto Pearson International Airport truly being a gateway to the world we are excited to bring a healthy option to fast food for the new customers we will reach with these locations. These locations could not have been possible without the hard work and vision of Glenn Tucker, Director of Non-traditional and International Development for Booster Juice, who was instrumental on securing these locations."
"At Toronto Pearson, we've worked hard to develop a unique array of options for all budgets and tastes. We are thrilled to welcome the great Canadian brand Booster Juice, as it gives us even more to offer people on the go," said Mike Ross, Director, Commercial Development, Greater Toronto Airports Authority. "From signature smoothies to delicious snacks, Booster Juice brings healthy new options for our passengers, meeters and greeters, and employees."
About Booster Juice
The first Booster Juice was opened in Sherwood Park, Alberta in November 1999 by Dale Wishewan, Booster Juice President & CEO, a guy who thought it would be a good idea to sell smoothies in the middle of a Canadian winter. Turns out, taste trumps temperature, and today there are over 330 locations worldwide. Booster Juice serves its intensely loyal customers a delicious, convenient and healthy alternative to fast food. In addition to their signature smoothies, their menu offers fresh-squeezed juices, hot food, and snacks. A vibrant brand that attracts an active clientele, Booster Juice was honoured with a Technomic 2013 & 2014 Consumers' Choice Award. Additionally in 2014 Booster Juice was inducted into the Canadian Franchise Association Hall of Fame and Dale was inducted into the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Global Hall of Fame.
