Ray brings more than 36 years of automotive expertise to The Right Stuff, giving the company an edge in an extremely competitive market.
Ray Gorman has been involved in every aspect of the automotive industry, from working with OEMs to the automotive aftermarket. Ray's career in the automotive industry began in 1978 when he got his start with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. From there, he moved on to Chevrolet where he spent 12 years working at its Syracuse, New York office as a Dealer Service Operations Manager. In 1992, he was hired by the McGard-McCauley Corporation to work in the McGard Wheel Locks division where he developed direct-to-dealer sales and service programs adjacent to OEM programs. Most recently, Ray held the position of Director of Wholesale/Distribution for the Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation where as a Senior Manager, he was responsible for development and execution of the company business plan for all wholesale and distributor-based customers. In addition to his impressive body of work, Ray has also been deeply involved with several aftermarket associations including the Specialty Equipment Manufacturing Association (SEMA), Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO), Performance Warehouse Association (PWA), and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA), where he has served as Select Committee Co-Chairman since 2009.
