TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - June 24, 2015) - The latest research and developments in child and youth health will be showcased during the Canadian Paediatric Society's 92nd Annual Conference, June 24-27 in Toronto. More than 900 paediatricians and other child and youth health professionals from across Canada are expected to attend.
This year's program includes close to 200 scientific abstracts in areas such as neonatology, nutrition, healthy active living, injury prevention and emergency medicine.
The conference will feature:
- A keynote address by neonatologist and star of the TLC reality show, The Little Couple, Dr. Jennifer Arnold. Dr. Arnold lives with dwarfism, yet constantly inspires her colleagues and others to "think bigger." She will share her story on June 24, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. EST.
- Timely workshops and concurrent seminars on child and youth health. Topics include dermatology, mental health, new concepts in developmental paediatrics, oral health, infant development and attachment, and resiliency in youth.
- Paediatric Update: Presentations on some of the timeliest issues in paediatrics including school start time for adolescents, Enterovirus D68, Ebola virus and advances in peanut allergies. Paediatric Update is Saturday, June 27 at 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. EST.
