CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Search Solution Group, the region's premier executive search and recruiting firm specializing in headhunting, recently placed the first-ever Chief Financial Officer at The Mint Museum, Gary Blankemeyer. Opened in 1936, The Mint Museum is the leading, innovative museum of international art and design located in Charlotte, N.C. Search Solution Group's seasoned executive search team established the exclusive partnership between Search Solution Group and The Mint Museum to fill the new CFO position.
Gary Blankemeyer begins his new position as CFO on June 29, 2015. The position will require Blankemeyer to handle an increased set of responsibilities and skillfully manage a three-person team based at Mint Museum Randolph. The Mint Museum is dedicated to leadership in collecting, exhibiting, conserving, researching, publishing, interpreting, and sharing art and design from around the world. As CFO, Blankemeyer will ensure that his decisions are made with this mission in mind. "His depth of experience will serve us well as we continue building a solid foundation to serve the community for many decades to come," said Dr. Kathleen V. Jameson, President & CEO of the Mint.
Blankemeyer, MBA has 20+ years of Accounting and Finance experience, five of which are in the nonprofit space. He was the former Senior Vice President, Finance of Child Care Resources Inc., where he directly managed Finance, Administration, Information Technologies, and Human Resources. Prior to working for nonprofit organizations, Blankemeyer held a variety of senior financial and general management positions at Bosch Rexroth Corporation where he developed and implemented overall strategic and operational plans for several divisions.
His decision to pursue the new CFO position at The Mint Museum was driven by his desire for an ever-changing environment where his diverse skills would be used to benefit an organization. "The Mint Museum is such a significant fixture in our community, and is world-renowned in art and design. It is truly a great opportunity to be its CFO, and I am honored to be part of The Mint's leadership. I am excited for this exciting chapter of my career," said Blankemeyer.
As an ideal candidate, Blankemeyer was initially headhunted by Search Solution Group CEO Jeremy Gnozzo. Some years later, when the firm was presented with the opportunity to fill the first-ever CFO position at the Mint, Search Solution Group Executive Recruiting Leader Jessyca Shuttleworth came into contact with Blankemeyer once again. When Blankemeyer commented on his experience with Search Solution Group, he stated, "I am very pleased that Jessyca found me and presented me in a way that got me through the door. She was always pleasant, thorough and attentive." Shuttleworth presented qualified candidates for the position, but in the end, it was her first submittal, Gary Blankemeyer, that the executive team at the Mint had a sincere interest in. Mint Museum COO Toni Freeman said: "Our contact Ashlyn Verot at Search Solution Group was a strong partner for this search process." Executive Search Account Executive, Ashlyn Verot, initiated the partnership at the Mint Museum with Freeman. Furthermore, Freeman stated, "They used extensive business network to identify and assess appropriate candidates for this position. The team was prompt and professional. I would gladly work with them again for another executive search."
Search Solution Group is elated to work with a nonprofit organization as distinguished as The Mint Museum. The founder and CEO of Search Solution Group, Jeremy Gnozzo, said: "It is a thrill to see everyone's efforts result in the connection of a great candidate to a great institution." Blankemeyer stated: "I'm impressed with Search Solution Group's growth, reputation in the community, and its team. I would refer them to other Charlotte based organizations and companies because they are thorough, resourceful and an overall strong organization." Search Solution Group looks forward to growing their relationship with The Mint Museum, as well as their new CFO, Gary Blankemeyer.
