The Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin has announced the addition of Dr. Chloé Matelski to the family. Dr. Matelski graduated from Texas A&M veterinary school in 2015. Prior to that she earned an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M after attending Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science. Her studies have taken her overseas as well to Kenya, Spain, and Italy.
Within the field of veterinary medicine, Dr. Matelski is particularly interested in cases that involve emergency care including those that require surgery or involve internal medicine. Her favorite cases to treat, though, are the ones that are unusual and challenging. "That's when I feel like I'm really in my element," says Dr. Matelski.
Travels remains a passion for Dr. Matelski, who continues to travel the world whenever the opportunity presents itself. Her free time is spent with her husband, Ray, and their three dogs Zoe, Baily, and Juno. Dr. Matelski and her husband also operate a busy photography and videography service that keeps them busy and spend the little spare time they have in pursuit of outdoor adventures that include biking, camping, and grilling.
Dr. Matelski is also excited about joining the Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin family. "I'm thrilled to become part of such a welcoming and diverse family of dedicated veterinarians," says Dr. Matelski who goes on to say, "I can't think of a better place to make my home."
Dr. Johnson became the owner of the Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin in 1991 after coming to work there in 1987 and believes he has assembled a great team of caring professionals for his animal hospital.
