GOLDEN, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 14, 2015) - Demartek, an independent computer industry analyst firm with its own computer test lab, today announces that it has compared the performance of the HP ProLiant Gen8 and Gen9 Server Blades.
"The HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server Blades outperformed the BL460c Gen8 Server Blades in all tests, despite the BL460c Gen9 Server Blade processor having a slower clock speed," said Dennis Martin, Demartek President. "We also found that when comparing like configurations of the servers used for these tests, the cost for Gen9 Server Blade hardware was 10% lower than the cost for the Gen8 Server Blade, using the HP Internet List Price. We recommend that HP customers seriously consider moving to the Gen9 Server Blade technology."
