US Federal Contractor Registration is reporting the release of the Armored Car Service Solicitation in Louisiana posted to FedBizOpps (FBO) on July 16, 2015. Armored Car Service Solicitation currently has a response date set for August 14, 2015. The Department of Veteran Affairs requires Armored Car Services, for Overton Brooks Veteran Affairs Medical Center (OBVAMC) located at 510 East Stoner Ave., Shreveport LA. Typical performance requires the Contractor to pick-up, deliver cash and financial instruments to designated locations. Services shall be performed in accordance with performance work statement from date of award to September 30, 2016 with the option to renew for four (4), one (1) year periods. Option years are to be exercised solely at the discretion of the government's needs. Payment will be made 30 day in arrears upon receipt of a properly completed invoice at the office designated to receive the invoice.
The Contractor shall be a bonded, commercial armored car service in support of the Shreveport, LA area. The services shall be provided throughout an initially defined area that may be subject to change. Under a firm fixed price contract, the Contractor is obligated to meet the delivery schedule without additional compensation, even though he has to use overtime, extra pay shifts, or multi-shifts to meet the schedule. If the Contract feels overtime is needed to meet the delivery schedule, the Contractor should include an allowance in the proposed quote.
This acquisition is unrestricted under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561613. The size standard is 500 employees. This information is only for classification purposes in the representation and certification portion of the Request for Quote (RFQ). The anticipated date for release of solicitation is July 13, 2015.
