FuelRod Mobile Charging Service Now Available at Philadelphia International Airport

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 28, 2015) - Tricopian, a San Diego, California-based developer of the innovative FuelRod mobile device charger, announces that Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the latest location to offer the company's innovative FuelRod program to travelers.

Twelve FuelRod "SwapBox™" kiosks are now located throughout the airport and can be found in every terminal as well as the International Arrivals Hall and baggage claim areas. The FuelRod "SwapBox" provides travelers with ready-to-use, mobile chargers that eliminate the need for electrical outlets. 

The rechargeable FuelRods are small portable chargers that deliver up to 8 hours of talk time for an Apple^® or Android™ smartphone or nearly 4 hours of usage for a tablet. When power is depleted, the FuelRods can be exchanged free of charge at a FuelRod SwapBox self-serve kiosk for a fresh, fully fueled, ready-to-use charger.

This year marks the 75^th anniversary of commercial service at PHL. In 1940 the airport served 40,000 passengers. Today, more than 30 million passengers travel annually to 131 destinations around the world.

FuelRod chargers are priced at just $20 each with free unlimited exchanges. Each FuelRod Kit includes connectors for both Android and Apple-based devices. Once used, the FuelRod charger can be recharged using any standard USB outlet. It can also be quickly exchanged at any FuelRod SwapBox kiosk for a fresh, fully fueled, ready-to-use charger.
