Under the new agreement, Motorola Mobility customers will benefit from innovative service contract solutions and additional services on Motorola's consumer smartphones and wearable devices. Underwriting services will be provided through The Warranty Group's wholly-owned insurance subsidiary Virginia Surety Company.
The Warranty Group will provide a customized service plan program that Motorola Mobility will market to consumers through Motorola.com. The Warranty Group will also support the Moto Care Accident Protection Plan which provides customers additional coverage for accidental damage from handling and protection against electrical and mechanical failures.
