NEW YORK, July 31, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BOND New York, a full service real estate brokerage firm with seven offices in Manhattan announces it has hired Marc, Melissa, Linda and Maximo Sorrentino – the mother and siblings of entertainer Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino who is best known for his role on MTV's The Jersey Shore – as a new real estate team at its firm.
The Jersey family is eager to start a lucrative real estate career and Maximo "Frank" Sorrentino, Mike's brother, has been quoted recently in the New York Daily News as saying, "This is our next family venture and we're in it to win it. We want to sell big, multi-million-dollar penthouses."
Firm co-founder Bruno Ricciotti comments, "This tight-knit team is sharp, they're hungry and have a great network," He continues, "They'll soon realize they can make a lot more money in real estate than from being on TV."
Word is that Mike may be joining the team and has been reported to be studying for his exam according to the family.
Just four days into their hire, Melissa Sorrentino scored the team's first deal – having completed a rental deal of an Upper West Side studio.
Prior to their recent foray into the Manhattan real estate industry, the family has starred in a reality show based on their lives called "The Sorrentinos" which aired on TVGN.
The Sorrentinos come to BOND with past business experience including having owned an entertainment firm MPS and tanning salons in "The Garden State" and having participated in many entertainment projects, including "Say Yes To The Dress " on TLC & "Jersey Shore" on MTV. The Sorrentino family is also currently filming Melissa's wedding special, "The Big Day" on TLC, set to air in late December 2015.
Marc Sorrentino holds a Masters degree in real estate development and construction from NYU, Maximo is a former Vice President of Lending for private equity mortgage bank, and Melissa has previously worked in mortgage lending as well. Linda Sorrentino's previous business experience includes a 10-year stint as a school teacher. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Psychology and Sociology from Georgian Court University.
