Through a series of evaluations, one-on-one discussions, formalized feedback instruments, coaching sessions and action plans, the supplier evaluation platform allows David Weekley Homes to analyze national trading partners' performance across all industries and measure world-class excellence. The quarterly survey is a comprehensive review of David Weekley Homes' supplier performance as assessed by approximately 800 team members from all levels within the company, and provides our trading partners an opportunity to review and improve their channel alignment and performance.
"World-class excellence is a quest that many begin, but few obtain," said Bill Justus, Vice President of Supply Chain Services for David Weekley Homes. "Our process is both wide and deep, therefore, there are no shortcuts to winning our award. Through demonstrated action, all of our award winners have proven to be world class in delivering quality products and services to our company."
The Dow Chemical Company has received the Partners of Choice award each year since the award's inception in 2004. Kevin McLain, Residential Solutions Specialist for Dow, said receiving the honor a record 11 times is a direct result of teamwork and a great partnership between Dow and the home builder.
"David Weekley Homes and Dow have been good partners for each other over the years, and our strive for excellence for David Weekley is a direct result of knowing what is expected of us, and then delivering what is expected on a consistent basis," said McLain. "We're very honored to receive this award."
Bosch/Thermador Appliances and A Better Blind are both first-time Partners of Choice award winners and first-time participants in the survey. Robert Gebara, Vice President for A Better Blind said the company feels privileged to receive the Partners of Choice Award for excellence in both categories.
"It is nice to see how hard work and dedication to our customers is appreciated," Gebara said. "The honor shows how far we have come as an organization in such a short period of time, and that to continue this success we must work even harder moving forward."
Bob Eustice of BSH Home Appliances said customer satisfaction is a centerpiece of the company's business. "We are very proud to have received the "Partners of Choice" award and "A,A" ranking from David Weekley Homes," said Eustice, Bosch/Thermador Appliances' Director of National Builder Sales. "Our founder, Robert Bosch, was once quoted as saying 'I would rather lose money than the trust of my customer.' This remains a guiding principle here at BSH today. I would like to recognize and thank our dealer network that so successfully has provided a high level of commitment and support to the various David Weekley regions. We thank David Weekley Homes for their business, and we look forward to a prosperous, mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come."
