LONDON, Aug. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis Group Holdings plc (NYSE:WSH), the global risk advisory, re/insurance broking, and human capital and benefits firm, has today announced the completion of its acquisition of Elite Risk Services Limited of Taiwan.
The deal is a significant boost to Willis’s market presence in Taiwan and almost doubles the size of its existing business. The newly combined resources and expertise will enable Willis to strengthen its offering to larger accounts, particularly in the technology, media & telecoms (TMT) and marine industry sectors.

Subject to regulatory approval, Elite’s 24 staff will become part of Willis Taiwan as soon as practicable, and will operate under the Willis brand. Willis Taiwan currently employs 38 staff from its headquarters in Taipei.
