SAN DIEGO, Aug. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Evofem, Inc. announces that Sandra Orta has been named Vice President of Global Marketing & Strategy effective immediately. In this role, Ms. Orta will be responsible for the commercial launch and lifecycle management of the Evofem product portfolio globally. She will report to Evofem COO, John Fair.

She has launched numerous innovations around the world that have consistently outperformed other products in their respective categories," said Fair. Prior to joining Evofem, Ms. Orta spent over seven years with Pfizer, in roles of increasing responsibility in marketing, sales and strategy. Most recently, she was the Global Therapeutic Area Lead responsible for a diverse portfolio of key brands. Before joining Pfizer, Ms. Orta was with Novartis where she held brand management and brand director level positions in both the women's health and cardiovascular franchises.
Ms. Orta graduated from Barcelona University with a degree in Pharmacy and holds an MBA and a Masters in Pharmaceutical marketing from Pompeu Fabra University as well as a Masters of Science in Health Policy from the Imperial College, London.
