Imperva Names Twenty-Five Year Technology and Sales Veteran to Grow Global Channel Sales and Alliances

Karl Soderlund Joins Imperva as Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Alliances


REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Aug. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Imperva, Inc., (NYSE:IMPV), committed to protecting business-critical data and applications in the cloud and on-premises, announced today that Karl Soderlund has been appointed as the company’s Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances. In his role at Imperva, Soderlund will be responsible for transforming the channel and alliance program by both expanding relationships with existing managed service providers and value-added resellers and distributors, as well as by adding new classes of partners to support the company’s growth. He will report directly to Chief Revenue Officer, Michael D. Mooney.

Soderlund joins Imperva from Aruba Networks, an HP company, where he served as the Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances in 2014. Soderlund’s time at Aruba was marked by strong accomplishments, including driving growth in system integrator recruitment and engagement, securing new partners and significantly expanding the channel sales team to achieve large year-over-year growth in his portfolio. Prior to Aruba, Karl led Americas channel sales at Avaya, where he expanded the company’s partner segments and grew new partner revenues significantly. Karl has also held senior roles at HP, Fortinet, Extreme Networks and Cisco Systems. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Management from Anna Maria College.
