LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 14, 2015) - The Trade Desk, recently named 34th on the Inc. 500 and ninth on Forbes Magazine's list of America's Most Promising Companies, today announced the promotion of adtech veteran Tim Sims to Vice President of Inventory Partnerships. Sims joined The Trade Desk in early 2014 to build out the company's Publisher Management Platform and oversee development of upfront buying capabilities in the private marketplace. Sims previously worked in business development for supply-side platform OpenX and as director of media at digital television start-up SpotRunner.
"Tim has forged cutting-edge supply-side partnerships globally, and has executed true vision for our publisher management platform, allowing advertisers to transact with publishers to buy premium inventory through programmatic channels," said The Trade Desk's CEO and founder Jeff Green. "This has been the basis for our approach to Advanced TV and has been tremendously successful thanks to Tim's strong relationships and hard work. Tim brought deep experience to his role at The Trade Desk, and his impact on the business has been phenomenal."
Under Sims' leadership, The Trade Desk has expanded its programmatic capabilities to offer advertisers robust options for buying inventory in the private marketplace, including the upfront buying so essential to television planning. Sims has supported the company's rollout of new formats and channels, and is leading inventory partnerships as The Trade Desk expands into China this year.
"It's been a thrill to grow the business alongside our leadership, and I look forward to our continued global expansion," Sims said. "We've built technology that has led the market, and we'll continue to stay at the forefront for the benefit of our clients worldwide."
