KANAB, UT--(Marketwired - September 17, 2015) - Mountain America Credit Union and Best Friends Animal Society have teamed up to help pets in need.
Now through October 31, 2015, at participating Mountain America branches, members who open a new MyStyle Checking℠ account will receive $100 and a $75 donation will be made to the Best Friends Animal Society®.* Based in Utah, Best Friends is the only national animal welfare organization dedicated exclusively to ending the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters.
"It is a win-win for the community when we can help members achieve their financial dreams, and help make our community a better place by helping pets in need," says Breck Judd, Kanab Branch manager. "The Kanab, Hurricane, Washington and St. George, Utah, branches are excited to participate in this opportunity."
In 2014, Best Friends introduced the No-Kill Utah (NKUT) initiative, bringing together individuals, shelters and animal welfare organizations to end the unnecessary killing of dogs and cats in Utah shelters by the year 2019.
"We are honored to donate to the Best Friends Animal Society® to help pets in need," says Jason Rogers, senior vice president branch administration. "Mountain America is committed to helping communities become better places to live and conduct business. Our MyStyle Checking℠ account is an innovative checking account that allows members to enjoy rewards like music downloads, credit monitoring and loan discounts. And now during this partnership, accountholders can also help pets in need."
