WHY: The USO and reggaetón sensation Yandel are kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month 2015 (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) in a big way, announcing their USO tour to Fort Bliss – complete with unit visits, a 120-minute USO concert and an opportunity for fans to gain access to exclusive, behind-the-scenes content. Joining Yandel onsite as his special guest is bachata singer Leslie Grace. The USO concert, the first for both artists, will take place on September 25. The event is free and open to all military ID holders and their guests at Fort Bliss and surrounding military installations.
To further recognize and celebrate the contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans, the USO will turn its cameras on Yandel and Leslie Grace, and follow them throughout their USO experience. Through photos and video, fans will get to see in real-time everything from what goes into putting on USO tours of this magnitude to getting an inside look of base visits, sound checks and USO meet & greets. To gain access to such exclusive USO content, sign up at USOMoments.org/Yandel and check the secret link on September 28.
Joining forces for the first time since appearing together earlier this year in the USO's first-ever bilingual public service announcement (PSA) in support of the Every Moment Counts campaign, Yandel and Leslie Grace are strong supporters for those in uniform. In the 30-second USO PSA, entitled "¡Gracias!," both stars thanked troops and all those who have fallen for their service and sacrifice. The duo is among a host of other Sony Music Latin recording artists featured. The spot is running throughout the year on select television, radio and digital outlets.
NOTE: Every Moment Counts is a national campaign that rallies Americans to honor and create moments that matter for our troops and their families. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, Yandel, Leslie Grace, Sony Music Latin and the USO encourage the public to watch the new Every Moment Counts PSA "¡Gracias!," share it online using #USOmoments and join them in thanking our nation's military community. For more information about Every Moment Counts visit USOmoments.org or join the conversation on Facebook or Twitter.
