COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Oct. 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vectrus Systems Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vectrus, Inc. (NYSE:VEC), has been awarded a nearly $47 million base operations and support services contract in Qatar, and a nearly $72 million modification to a previously awarded contract for base maintenance and operations services in Turkey and Spain.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in Qatar is for day-to-day base operations and support to the area support group in Qatar, as well as its tenant organizations at Camp As-Sayliyah, Camp As-Sayliyah-South, and Falcon 78, Qatar. The contract has an estimated completion date of Sept. 29, 2017, and work will be performed in Qatar. The Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
The modification to the Turkey and Spain operations contract provides an equitable adjustment for the difference in labor cost between the actual number of employees at the time of award, and the employee listings -- of incumbent Turkish and Spanish nationals -- furnished by the government during the solicitation phase. Work will be performed at Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, The Office of Defense Cooperation, and Ankara Support Facility, Turkey; and Morón Air Base, Spain, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 19, 2021. The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Kaiserslautern, Germany, is the contracting activity.
