Red Bull Air Race World Championship Returns to Las Vegas October 17 & 18

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2015) - Great Britain's Paul Bonhomme has a tense lead over Australia's Matt Hall as the finale of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship moves to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 17 and 18. The series consists of eight stops spanning the globe, with Las Vegas as the deciding location where a champion will be named. The finals on Sunday, Oct. 18 will air live on FS1 at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT.

One of the world's fastest motorsport series puts the best race pilots on the planet to the ultimate test in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. The pilots fly the fastest, most agile and lightweight-racing planes and navigate a low-level aerial track made up of 80-foot-high air-filled pylons at speeds of up to 230 mph while enduring forces of up to 10G. The aim is to finish in the fastest time, incurring as few penalties as possible.

Going into the final race, Bonhomme leads the championship with 67 points after getting 12 for the win in Fort Worth, while Hall is still within striking range at 59 points. The two have dominated the 2015 season, with Bonhomme racking up four wins to Hall's one.
