PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Specialist insurer Beazley announced today the expansion of its dedicated business unit, Beazley Breach Response (BBR) Services, with three new hires. Brett Anderson and Lauren Winchester join as privacy breach response services managers, and Frank Quinn will serve as a BBR risk manager.
Beazley is the only insurer with a dedicated in-house team focusing exclusively on helping clients handle data breaches. The team has managed over 2,800 breaches to date. The frequency and sophistication of data breach incidents continues to grow along with the associated costs. To address these risks, Beazley's BBR Services team coordinates the expert forensic, legal, notification and credit monitoring services that clients need to satisfy all legal requirements and maintain customer confidence. In addition to coordinating data breach response, BBR Services maintains and develops Beazley's suite of risk management services, designed to minimize the risk of a data breach occurring.
Brett Anderson, based in Beazley's Atlanta office, is an information security professional who comes to Beazley from Emory University where he most recently served as an information security manager. Before that, Brett worked with KPMG as a senior associate.
Lauren Winchester is an attorney with a background in litigation. She joins Beazley from the law firm of Fox Rothschild LLP, where she served as an associate. She is based in Beazley's Philadelphia office.
Frank Quinn, also an attorney, joins Beazley from Bloomberg Law and Wolters Kluwer with a background in information and content curating. At Beazley Frank manages BBR's information portal, BeazleyBreachSolutions.com, and develops related risk management initiatives for Beazley's insureds. He is based in Beazley's New York office.
Katherine Keefe, global head of BBR Services, said, "Breaches require professionals who have a mix of skills—spanning IT, forensics, risk management and legal—who can work together to get the best possible results for companies and institutions when their data has been compromised. These new team members bring rich experience to BBR Services, and we are delighted to have them aboard."
