ST. PAUL, MINN., Oct. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Merrill Brink® International (www.merrillbrink.com), a leading provider of language solutions for global corporations and law firms, today announced that it has translated, Brazil's concept of the Integrity Program in accordance with Law No. 12,846/2013.
The compliance guidance attempts to clarify the concept of the Integrity Program, in accordance with the Law No. 12,846/2013 and its regulation by Decree No. 8,420/2015, of March 18, 2015 decree regulating the Clean Company Act, which took effect on January 28, 2014. The Integrity Program focuses on anti-corruption measures adopted by the company, especially those aimed at the prevention, detection and remediation of harmful acts against national and foreign public administrations provided in Law No. 12,846/2013.
"In the first half of 2015, we've seen an incredible demand for information on Brazil and the Clean Company Act. With Brazil being a key focal point of anti-corruption inquiries, Merrill Brink has translated the latest Brazil Integrity Program guidance on this law, and as a courtesy we are making it available to the global FCPA, ethics and compliance community. Hopefully this guidance will assist consultants and in-house practitioners to formulate an effective Code of Conduct and anti-corruption compliance program for their Brazilian operations," says Jim Moore, executive vice president of Merrill Brink.
