ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2015) - OCTANe, the Orange County business development accelerator dedicated to driving technology industry growth and innovation by connecting ideas and people with resources and capital, today announced the final agenda for its 10th Annual Medical Device & Investor Forum (MDIF) taking place November 2-3, 2015.
MDIF is the leading medtech industry conference in the West, where industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors come together in the nation's most dynamic medical device environment to explore the latest technologies and investment trends.
MDIF attendees will have the opportunity to attend a myriad of presentations, featuring speakers from medtech companies across Orange County. As 2015 marks the 10-year anniversary of MDIF, the conference will be a premier opportunity to network with industry leaders, learn about OCTANe's LaunchPad™ SBDC accelerator companies, and participate in educational sessions that will help grow the medtech industry in the region.
"10 years of MDIF is a significant milestone for OCTANe as well as the region," said Bill Carpou, president and CEO of OCTANe. "The conference has always helped to nurture and expand the medtech ecosystem in Orange County by creating an atmosphere where investors, entrepreneurs, executives and academicians can gather together and address the needs of tomorrow."
Presentations will cover a variety of topics such as medtech's impact on the military, featuring former Navy SEAL Jason Redman; a keynote covering the integration of the largest ever medical technology acquisition in industry history, presented by Brett Wall, president, and Brett Knappe, vice president of Medtronic; and a special interview with Brent Saunders, president and CEO of Allergan.
This year, 10 medtech companies who are trailblazing the industry have been selected to present at MDIF to a panel of judges. Following the session, two winners will be selected to present at the prestigious ROTH Capital Conference in March 2016.
The ten Orange County-based companies vying to secure the top two presenting spots include:
