DES MOINES, IA--(Marketwired - October 29, 2015) - Beth Roy, chief client officer at CDS Global, has been named the 2015 inductee into the Media & Content Marketing Association (MCMA) Hall of Fame. This prestigious media industry recognition is a testament to Roy's experienced leadership and commitment to magazine publishing. Under her leadership, the CDS Global client services team works with hundreds of media brands in North America, supporting their fulfillment, circulation and customer interaction management efforts with order processing, promotional campaigns, e-commerce, data analytics and more.
Throughout a 22-year career supporting the media industry, Roy has partnered and worked with consumer media brands, special interest media companies, regional publishers and B-to-B media brands. She has held a variety of leadership roles managing customer relationships in client services, sales, client onboarding, product management and customer service. Highly involved in technology and product development, she has also played a significant role in the creation of CDS Global's digital platform and the development of the company's marketing data analytics solution for publishers. Her diverse specialties include customer relations, product development, integrated solutions, project management and call center leadership.
"To be recognized by the MCMA and my colleagues in the industry is humbling, and I am honored to join such an esteemed roster of friends, clients and leaders in the Hall of Fame," said Roy.
"I am extremely proud of Beth for being awarded this distinct honor in recognition of a lifetime of professional achievement," said Malcolm Netburn, chairman and CEO of CDS Global and 2013 MCMA Hall of Fame inductee. "Beth has studied, worked with and supported this industry for more than two decades, and she is an essential part of the CDS Global leadership team. Her abilities to anticipate client needs, forge strong relationships and transform her industry knowledge into action have created a legacy of success and innovation that the media industry is lucky to experience."
In 2014, Roy completed the Yale Publishing Course, an immersive educational program for senior-level leaders in global publishing. Over the years, she has spoken at a variety of industry events for organizations that include MPA - The Association of Magazine Media, the Media & Content Marketing Association and the International Regional Magazine Association. Roy is a passionate community and industry leader, having served on several association and nonprofit boards.
"The MCMA is pleased to award Beth Roy of CDS Global the 2015 Hall of Fame Award," said Rochelle Boorstein, president of the MCMA. The recognition, Boorstein explains, is awarded for career-long innovation and strategic thinking that have resulted in significant contributions to the industry.
Steve Jacobs, fulfillment director at American Media, Inc., has summed up why Roy is deserving of the MCMA Hall of Fame Award: "Over the years I have known and had the pleasure of working with Beth, she has shown her extensive knowledge of the industry and her ability to handle our needs not just as customers but as partners, which has built a lasting relationship -- both professionally and as friends."
CDS Global also extends its congratulations to Nina La France, senior vice president of consumer marketing and business development at Forbes Media, for receiving the 2015 Lee C. Williams Award from the MCMA for her outstanding contribution to periodical publishing.
