Mammoth Resorts Claims Top Two Terrain Parks in North America

Transworld 2015 Readers Poll Names Bear Mountain Parks #1, Mammoth Mountain #2

Mammoth Lakes, Calif, Nov. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This year's terrain park rankings have a distinctly Cali4nia vibe. Bear Mountain and Mammoth  Mountain, both under the Mammoth Resorts umbrella, finished one and two in TransWorld SNOWboarding's 2015 Resort Poll Park Rankings.

TransWorld SNOWboarding's all-new park poll collected objective data from resorts across North America, including total features, acreage, and labor. In partnership with Snow Park Technologies, the publication merged that data with over 3,300 responses about park quality from the annual audience poll to determine the best parks in North America. The new rankings are the most comprehensive to date.

"Olympic gold medalists, World Cup and X-Games champions such as Chloe Kim and Greg Bretz, they're shredding our parks daily, and they come because they can expect world-class terrain," said Erik Forsell, Mammoth Resorts' Chief Marketing Officer. "But the real testament to the dedication and creativity of our parks team is feedback like the Resort Poll from everyday visitors. Whether you're five years old or a five-time world champ, we'll put a smile on your face, and that's what it's all about."

Bear Mountain, which claimed the number one spot, is home to top-to-bottom parks sprawling over 200 acres and covered in more than 100 features, 4 pipes, and a world-class snowmaking system. Bear Mountain has launched some of biggest names in the game, but it's the SoCal scene at Bear that really sets it apart. There's nothing else like it, and for park riders it's home.

Mammoth's number two ranked Unbound Terrain Parks, which boast one of the longest seasons in North America, still left Transworld readers begging for more. As an official USSA training site and an annual venue for the Freeski and Snowboard Grand Prix, Mammoth's reputation among the sport's elite is sterling, but it's a focus on progression, with parks designed to facilitate development, that really stands out.

The Cali4nia Pass, which provides season-long access to all four resorts in the Mammoth family (Mammoth, June, Bear and Snow Summit) and now the two best parks in North America, is on sale. Prices for adult passes start at $799, with kids passes available starting at $299.
