GRANDVILLE, MI--(Marketwired - Nov 9, 2015) - Kesslers Diamonds has opened its first Michigan store in the Bucktown Shopping Center in Grandville, Mich.
"We're thrilled with the response of people in the Grand Rapids area to our diamonds only approach," said Richard Kessler, founder and president of the employee-owned company. "The feedback validates our decision to select metro Grand Rapids for our first location outside of Wisconsin."
The Grandville store is at 3176 44th Street SW, occupying 6,800 square feet of space in the shopping center developed by CWD Real Estate Investment. It employs 15 people who, through Kesslers' Employee Stock Ownership Plan, are employee-owners.
Representatives of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and the Grandville-Jenison Chamber of Commerce will participate in a grand opening celebration at the store on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.
The company operates six diamond centers in Wisconsin and has an aggressive growth plan.
Kessler's Diamonds deals exclusively in diamonds, and is Wisconsin's largest seller of diamonds and diamond engagement rings.
Richard Kessler is a Michigan native but got into the jewelry business in suburban Milwaukee in 1980. The company became employee-owned in 2011 via an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and is believed to be the only employee-owned jewelry store in the U.S.
