Wingtip-to-Back Office-EPIC Invests in Technology and Customer Service.
QT Technologies (QT), EPIC's sister company, developed an Into-Wing Fuel Management system that was first introduced to the Commercial Aviation industry, and is now widely used by many of the largest airlines in the world. Field-tested and proven durable with very-high volumes, EPIC, in conjunction with QT, is bringing this unique system to FBOs in General Aviation.
EPIC's Wingtip-to-Back Office technology turns a manual, paper-based, error-prone, inefficient and costly process of fueling, inventory management, and accounting for fuel transaction into a seamless, automated, and cost-effective process. The functionality of the system completely transforms the fueling processes and the results go directly to the FBO's bottom-line.
Several EPIC FBOs are currently testing the system which enables them to maintain control of their fueling process and inventories, but relieves the expense and inaccuracies of a manual/paper driven-system, excess inventories, and costly back-office expenses.
The system consists of a small meter reader on fueling equipment/truck/tanks along with a handheld unit used by line staff. The transactions flow seamlessly from dispatching of the fuel request, to delivery at the wing tip and real-time reporting into a POS and back-office.
The EPIC/QT Wingtip-to-Back Office system is expected to be widely available in 2016.
