Bringing together two iconic brands rooted in action sports, the partnership will come to life through content creation, event experiences, on-site activations, branding and programming. On the heels of opening weekend for the 2015/2016-winter season, the partnership will begin immediately and be sustained throughout the year to touch on every aspect of the Mammoth experience from skiing and snowboarding to cycling and golf.
"There is no better place to showcase an active lifestyle brand than at Mammoth Mountain - one of the most iconic and most frequented ski resorts in the United Sates," said Cuan Petersen, Oakley's Global Director of Sports Marketing. "As a training destination for the world's best endurance athletes in the summer and the cradle of progression in winter sports, this partnership is a natural fit for us and we are looking forward to continuing the partnership into 2017."
The brand collaboration will provide immersive and exciting experiences for consumers, athletes and Mammoth employees, including developing co-branded content of Oakley and Mammoth athletes that will be shared across platforms, hosting Oakley progression sessions focused on increasing participation of women in action sports, outfitting Mammoth employees in custom Oakley apparel and more. Additional details about the partnership will be rolled out throughout the year.
"Oakley is an iconic brand built on action sports and innovation and perfectly complements Mammoth's ethos," said Erik Forsell, Chief Marketing Officer at Mammoth Resorts. "As we begin to execute our partnership together, we are going to turn some heads--delivering compelling content and truly unique experiences."
Oakley performance goggles and eyewear will be available at all Mammoth Mountain shops, delivering best in class products on the hill.
