CHICAGO, Nov. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Steven M. Morgano, DMD, FACP, has been elected as membership director Northeast Region 1 to the board of directors of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Dr. Morgano was sworn in at the Annual Awards & Presidents Dinner during the 45th Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists held in Orlando from Oct. 21-24, 2015.
Dr. Steven M. Morgano received his DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He completed a General Practice Residency program at Philadelphia General Hospital and received his specialty certificate in prosthodontics from the Hines Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Morgano is professor and chairman of the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics (certified 1984) and former professor and director of the Division of Postdoctoral Prosthodontics at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, from 1996 to 2014.
Dr. Morgano has been a member of the American College of Prosthodontists since he graduated from his postdoctoral prosthodontic program in 1979. From 2006-2008, he served as president of the Massachusetts section of the ACP, and from 2008- 2011 he served as the alternate regional director of the Northeast Region of the ACP.
