BUENA PARK, CA--(Marketwired - November 24, 2015) - The 2016 Tournament of Roses® Royal Court recently paid a visit to Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament® in Buena Park, California. It was the first official visit to Orange County for the Royal Court since members were selected on October 5, 2015, and Rose Queen Erika Karen Winter was announced on October 22. The court met with King Don Carlos and Princess Catalina, and the Medieval Times Knights of the Realm. The group, which also included Tournament of Roses officials, then attended the banquet and show, a reenactment of a medieval feast and jousting tournament.
"Over the years, Medieval Times has brought countless joy to the millions who have viewed the Rose Parade," said Jeannette M. Collier, committee and participant services manager for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. "We appreciate Medieval Times as a valued partner in America's New Year Celebration."
Medieval Times' longstanding partnership with the Tournament of Roses dates back to 1987. Medieval Times also will help produce Equestfest, a horsemanship exhibit that features participants of the 2016 Rose Parade. It will be held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on Tuesday, December 29, beginning at noon.
