ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adacel has announced that it will debut its new Lexix Command Audio module as part of the Company's featured systems at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) slated for the first week of December in Orlando, Florida. Adacel will be located at booth #1221.
Adacel originally launched their Lexix (pronounced leks-iks) speech system at I/ITSEC in 2013 to provide a full-featured speech recognition toolkit optimized for the unique requirements of the simulation industry. Lexix features a comprehensive development kit (SDK) that enables 3rd party users to integrate advanced speech recognition directly into their own applications and provides a real-time Dialogue Editor to enable on the spot editing of a user's command grammar.
The Lexix Command Audio module is the latest addition to the Lexix family of products. It is a powerful tool that automatically optimizes audio input to ensure clear communications processing for optimal speech recognition results. Based on Adacel's patented technology, Lexix Command Audio automatically compensates for many variables in audio transmissions such as background noise, microphone placement, volume and audio clipping conditions among others to produce an optimal signal for speech recognition processing.
Adacel's LEXIX project and its resulting technology advances have been a primary focus of the Adacel R &D group. They predict that the accuracy, responsiveness and overall operational robustness of the system will revolutionize the use of speech recognition in the simulation and training industry.
In addition to Lexix, Adacel also plans to demonstrate elements of their air traffic control simulator systems. Included will be a futuristic concept integrating Adacel's MaxSim ATC Tower and an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. The integration includes full head and body tracking and enables the wearer a 360-degree field of view out of a simulated Air Traffic Control Tower. The user can move around within the tower cab and also interact with the aircraft via Adacel's LEXIX advanced speech recognition system. Adacel will also showcase a small footprint, mobile ATC simulator that permits tower, radar and precision approach training in a single compact system ideal for military use.
