DENVER, Nov. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PCL Construction will help feed more than three million people this holiday season through a $140,000 donation to food-assistance programs across the country. This is the seventh consecutive year PCL has donated to local food banks across the United States, contributing more than $1 million to help fight hunger and providing approximately 22 million meals to those in need*.

According to Feeding America, one in seven Americans struggle to get enough to eat. In 2014, 48.1 million Americans lived in food-insecure households, including 15.3 million children.
In 2009, PCL Construction enacted its US Food Bank Initiative, enabling the company's 14 operating locations to donate approximately $10,000 annually to local food banks of their choice. This year, PCL Construction will contribute to food bank agencies in Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, Seattle, New Jersey, Denver, Tampa and Honolulu.
